CBI summons TMC leader Shahjahan Mollah in Bengal job scam case; ED questions Ayan Sheel's wife

In reference to the Bengal teacher recruitment scam, the CBI has summoned the chairman of Bhangar-1 Panchayat Samiti. according to the sources, shahjahan molla Was summoned to the Nizam Palace on Friday.  

Sources suggest that Mollah is closely associated with former education minister Partha Chattopadhyay and former SSC advisor Shantiprasad Sinha. In another development, Kakali Sheel, wife of the arrested Youth Trinamool Congress leader Ayan Sheel, was questioned by ED officials.

Earlier this week, the burning of documents related to the case had caused a stir, and the CBI recovered the partially burnt documents. It is alleged that the documents were brought to the spot in a lorry.

In February this year, the CBI had raided the home of Shahjahan Mollah and had questioned him and his wife on several issues, including bank documents. It is alleged that Mollah had given jobs in Group-D to several relatives and acquaintances, including his daughter.

Meanwhile, Ayan Sheel is accused of rigging crores of rupees in the recruitment scam and is currently in ED custody. The Trinamool leader from Bhandar has also been summoned again by the CBI.
